Hello teacher) (@)!It is with great affection that we present our Tug of War app – Adding Forces.Vygotsky (2007) highlights the primacy of play for the psychic development of the child in preschool age and that these lead children to use games in the school phase. And both stimulate creativity, self-control and create zones of proximal development. This made many pedagogues think about using games and games at school. In his work “O Jogo e a Educação Infantil”, Kishimoto (1998) rescues the history of the game, showing that it should not only be applied, as it had been in the Renaissance period. Its disuse, probably, was due to the need to take the reflection of the school that at the time aimed to form cheap and servile labor. In this sense, the game Cabo de Guerra – Sumando Forças emerged as a proposal aiming to contribute to the teaching-learning process of Newtons Laws, especially the 2nd Law, constituting another didactic resource available to students and teachers. It is also recommended to use PhET simulations, especially the “Force and Motion – Basics”. This can be presented to students before and after the game. Because a part of it introduces the student to the vector sum of forces on the horizontal axis and another part also works on the friction force. This educational product was developed within the scope of the dissertation “Cabo de Guerra – Adding Forces: an application for Teaching Physics”, of the Professional Masters Program in Science Teaching at the State University of Goiás.
